Lake City and Hinsdale County provide access to endless outdoor endeavors and recreational pursuits. With year-round access to public lands, residents and visitors enjoy many activities.
Lake City DIRT works to support the further development of outdoor recreation and related businesses in partnership with the Town of Lake City, Hinsdale County, and the Chamber of Commerce.
DIRT Grants: Lake City Ice Climbs
Expanded in 2021 thanks in part to a grant from Lake City DIRT, the Lake City Ice Park provides the perfect place to ice climb close to town. Managed by the Town of Lake City, the park is free to the public and easily accessible. Lake City Ice Climbs is open from December to March (weather dependent) and has over 40 climbing routes with mixed grades.
